Our donation to Friends of the Upper of the Wye for Earth Day

Happy Earth Day! 🌍

We love the environment around us and what ingredients it provides us to make our skincare products!

We believe in a clean and sustainable future and as a business we will always thrive to care for the Earth as it has given us so much!

Here at Herbfarmacy, we have always been passionate about helping projects and charities that are closest to our hearts and local to us. For World Earth Day, one charity in particular we want to support are Friends of the Upper Wye.

This amazing charity is a grassroots community group formed to defend and champion our local river. You might have seen on the news recently the Wye is suffering severe pollution from several sources, predominantly intensive poultry units which continue to proliferate within the river catchment. It was even spoken about in the House of Commons at the end of January by Hereford MP Jesse Norman, urging the Prime Minster to put pressure on the Environment Agency to put a long term strategy in place to clean up the river.

Friends of the Upper Wye are regularly monitoring key pollutants and their sources through a Citizens Science project and funds are particularly needed to provide the test equipment for this.

Their aim is to restore the ecological health of the river for local communities, for visitors to the region and of course for the diversity of wildlife that make the river what it should be - a thriving living system. This aim is supported and endorsed by Herbfarmacy as a small sustainable business located here in the upper Wye Valley.

Herbfarmacy will be donating 10% of sales until Thursday 28th April to this dedicated group, and any customers interested in more information about them can visit their website www.fouw.org.uk

Thank you for your continued support!

The Herbfarmacy Team 😊
